Our Wedding

Taylor and Britny’s story began on August 29, 2019, at their very first Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) meeting. Britny was serving as the Remember the Ribbon chair, leading initiatives on HIV and AIDS care for minorities. Taylor, spotting that only a handful of students were interested in the cause, took it as a challenge—and a sign. She jumped in, determined to help make it the best initiative yet. Before long, Britny invited Taylor to be her co-chair, and together they organized community events that not only made an impact but also sparked something neither of them could have planned for. By March of 2020, the world had shut down. Stuck in Buies Creek, hours away from their families, Taylor and Britny turned an uncertain time into one of their sweetest seasons. What began as quarantine ended as something far more permanent—they made it official on August 14, 2020.From then on, they were partners in every sense. They pushed through pharmacy school side by side, celebrated milestones together, and supported each other even during two years of long-distance. At their furthest, they were 1,000 miles apart, yet their bond never wavered. Finally, in 2024, the miles melted away when they reunited in Baltimore, Maryland. Today, Taylor and Britny share a cozy apartment in Canton, where love and laughter fill the rooms—and their Bernedoodle, Micah, happily steals the spotlight. From classmates to co-chairs, from pandemic partners to lifelong companions, their journey has been one of resilience, joy, and a love that always finds its way home.

Sight Seeing, Outdoors. Hike the Caldera Trail from Fira to Oia, a cliffside walk that traces Santorini’s dramatic volcanic rim. As you go, you’ll get sweeping Aegean views below and a postcard panorama of whitewashed villages stacked into the cliffs, blue-domed chapels, and the black-and-rust caldera walls across the water. It’s one of the island’s most iconic ways to take in Santorini’s scale. Manageable for all levels of ability. Cost: Free

Sight Seeing, History. Prehistoric Akrotiri on Santorini was one of the most important settlements in the Aegean Sea. Today it continues to challenge historians and archaeologists. It is also a fantastic place for tourists and a must-see on every tourist map. It’s no wonder. After the volcanic eruption the town was covered by a layer of volcanic ash which preserved many of its buildings, frescoes and other works of art as well as everyday objects that we can admire today. Akrotiri is sometimes called the Greek Pompeii. When reading about these two places, it is difficult not to notice the similarities between them. However, we also find many differences. One of them is the age of both cities – when Pompeii was just developing (7th century BC), Akrotiri had been already covered with a layer of ash for more than thousand years… Cost: ~$15

Sight Seeing, Wine Tasting. The Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum &amp; Winery&nbsp;has everything a visitor would want to know about winemaking in one of the most unique places on earth. With the Koutsogiannopoulos family knowledge and historical exhibits, guests will get a glimpse of what life was like as a winemaker here. This one of a kind museum happens to be nestled in a cave and because of its unique position this natural labyrinth is eight meters below ground and 300 meters long. Cost: $30+/person
